The Warriors defeated Atlantic Coast League rival Falmouth High today, the only team to beat them in the 2009 regular season, in the season home opener. Tyler Savonen topped the scoresheet with two goals, with one assisted by Jimmy Quigley and one by Cody Savonen, a header off a corner kick. Ben Altneu won the game on a stunning direct free kick goal from right outside the 18 yard box, placing it perfectly into the upper far corner. Falmouth took a quick 1-0 lead, but that was all Nauset needed to wake up, as they dominated the rest of the game and never let up. Nauset received stellar performances from sophomore backs Adam Huber, Hunter Maher, and senior midfielder Jimmy Quigley. They improve to 2-0-1 on the season.
