PLYMOUTH SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL: 1
In an away ACL match, Nauset dominated in a 5-1 thrashing of Plymouth South High. Senior captain Tyler Savonen led the way with a hat trick and 1 assist, leaving it all on the field, and giving possibly the best offensive performances of the season so far. Jimmy Quigley, senior captain, contributed with 1 goal and 1 assist as well. Sophomore James McLeod got the Warriors started off on a good note with a goal 6 minutes into the game, and from then on there was no letup. The defense of Seniors Ben Altneu, Austin Fiero, and sophomores Hunter Maher and Adam Huber, were outstanding in limiting the Panthers to 1 goal and very few shots. Coach McCully remarked that it was a total team effort, and that it was "the most complete 80 minutes of the season", with the Warriors dominating the entire time. Nauset faces Barnstable on Friday, looking to make it 3 wins in one vital week..
