The Nauset Warriors remained undefeated with a 2-0 non-league win over Barnstable High. Tyler Savonen had 1 goal and 1 assist, with James McLeod assisting on the goal. Tyler had a brilliant individual effort 10 minutes into the second half, and then set up Ben Czuchra minutes later for a half-volley to the lower right to give Nauset the cushion they needed. The Warriors were dominating throughout the game, however it did take a while to breakdown Barnstable's defense. Freshman keeper Bruce Johnson continued to play well, recording his second shutout. The defense of seniors Ben Altneu, and Austin Fiero, and sophomores Adam Huber and Hunter Maher deserve a lot of credit for playing very strong and fending off the opponent's dangerous offensive attack. Nauset also received a good effort from freshman Junior Chambers. Having a long break until the next game, Nauset will take the time to regroup and prepare for the only game of the week, an ACL match with Marshfield High on Thursday, September the 23rd.
