The Nauset Boys Varsity Soccer team traveled to Falmouth High for what was to be a tough mid-season test, and it was all it promised to be as the Warriors edged out a strong Falmouth side late in another important ACL match. The team orchestrated yet another unimaginable comeback, having let up a goal midway through the first half. However, there was never a doubt of who was gonna win, as Nauset dominated from start to finish. ACL leading goalscorer, senior captain Tyler Savonen led the way, scoring both goals in the second half, off brilliant direct free kicks. The midfield benefited from a great boost of energy juniors Roma Naumov and Jake Moore, sophomore Cody Savonen, and freshman Sam McNulty. The back 4 of seniors Ben Altneu and Austin Fiero, and sophomores Adam Huber and Hunter Maher were solid once again. Nauset is now 8-1-1 overall (6-1-0 ACL), and is 1 point away from qualification for the MIAA Division 1 State Tournament. The race for the Atlantic Coast League crown is wide open as well, with Nauset having 5 league games left to play and currently residing in second place.
