The Nauset Warriors suffered a heartbreaking loss in one of the most important games of the season, an ACL match to the undefeated Sandwich Knights at home. Sandwich forward Dallas Donovan scored 10 seconds into the game and that made Nauset have to play catch up the rest of the game.   Sandwich went on to score once more in the first half, and three times in the second half. Nauset received an enormous effort from sophomore back Adam Huber, who continued to step up, and anchored the defense after senior captain Ben Altneu left the game with an injury 20 minutes into the first half. Nauset needed a perfect game, and was unable to get that, being shutout for only the second time this season. The Warriors fall to 13-2-1 (9-2 ACL), and will face the Dennis-Yarmouth Dophins, away, in their final Atlantic Coast League game of the season on Thursday, before finishing up the season with an away match at Barnstable High on Saturday morning.
