Boys Varsity Swimming vs. Barnstable High School

Warriors Win: 101.00 - 50
Jack Johnson won 2 events and broke a school record en route to Nauset's 101-50 win over Barnstable High school.
Nauset won all 11 events on their way to an easy victory. The evening started with a victory from Carlisle Nash, Jack Johnson, Dory Carlson, and Ryan Pisch in the 200 Medley Relay. That was followed up by a Tanner Cornell personal best and victory in the 200 Freestyle. Johnson then narrowly missed the school record in the 200 IM before Nash won the 50 Freestyle sending Nauset into the break with a commanding lead.
After the break Johnson shattered the school record in the 100 Butterfly. Cornell followed that with his second victory of the day in the 100 Freestyle. Coleman Norton got in on the winning with a personal best in the 500 Freestyle (the 8th fastest time in Nauset History). Cornell, John Szucs, Pisch and Norton then won the 200 Freestyle Relay. Nash won the 100 Backstroke in a pb before Norton closed out the individual events with a win in the 100 Breaststroke. The night was closed out with Nauset's top foursome of Johnson, Cornell, Nash and Norton winning the 400 Free Relay.
Also turning in personal best times were John Szucs (200 Free), Jack Whitfield (200 IM), Brady Alden (200 IM), Ryan Pisch (50 Free), Brendan Hamaty (100 Fly), Tak Decker (100 Free), Tristan Miller (500 Free), and Dory Carlson (100 Breast)
Nauset's Boys are now 3-0 and take on Martha's Vineyard next.

Warriors Win: 93 - 68
Tanner Cornell, Carlisle Nash and Coleman Norton each won two races as Nauset swept every event against Sandwich High School.
Norton won the 200 IM in 2:19.19 and the 100 Freestyle in a state qualifying time of 52.19. Nash won the 200 Freestyle in 1:57.70 and the 100 Backstroke in a state qualifying 59.79. Cornell took the 50 Free (24.44) and the 100 Butterfly (1:01.44). Bennett Deering (500 Free - 6:46.94) and Brady Alden (100 Breast - 1:23.18) also won events for the Warriors.
The 200 Medley Relay of John Szucs, Alden, Dory Carlson, and Hunter MacDonald won the 200 Medley Relay in 2:08.26. Nash, Cornell, Ryan Pisch, and Norton won the 200 Free Relay in a state qualifying time of 1:38.91. Deering, MacDonald, Szucs and Jake Whitfield ended the meet with a victory in the 400 Free Relay in the 4:26.94.
Ryan Pisch also had a strong day with second place finishes in the 50 Free (26.02) and 100 Free (58.20) finishing second to Cornell and Norton respectively. Deering (200 Free), Alden (500 Free) and Szucs (100 Back) all had 2nd place finishes as well.
Nauset's Boys are now 1-0 and will face Sacred Heart at 4:00 on Thursday, December 21 at Willy's Gym.
Bay Colony Conference Relay Carnival

Warriors Lose: -
The Boys and Girls Swim Teams opened their season with the Annual Bay Colony Conference Relay Carnival.
As a combined team Nauset placed second out of 6 teams behind perennial powerhouse Nantucket.
Nauset was led by two record setting performances. The Boys 200 Medley Relay Team or Carlisle Nash, Jack Johnson, Tanner Cornell and Coleman Norton shattered the meet record with a time of 1:44.69. The previous meet record was 1:48.44 and was held by the previous Nauset foursome of Matthias Christensen, Joe McLoughlin, Louie Lebart and Andrew Bulger back in 2006!
Freshman Diver Delaney Smith broke the Girls' School Diving Record in her first ever diving meet. Delaney's Score of 178.25 points also gives her the first of two necessary Sectional qualifying standards.
Jack Johnson was also a member of 2 other winning relays on the day. He combined with Molly Rudman, Abby Ricciardi and Nash to win the 200 Backstroke Relay in a time of 1:57.05. He was then joined by Rudman, Gabby Dadoly and Coleman Norton to win the 400 Medley Relay with a time of 4:11.47.
Also of note was the 200 Butterfly Relay of Catie Crowell, Dadoly, Cornell and Norton who finished second with a time of 1:53.18 which was under the previous meet record.
