Nauset 33 – Marshfield 66
With just 10 girls competing, Nauset had a promising showing against a much larger Marshfield squad.
Leading the way was junior MacKenzie Meads who posted the ACL league-best time of 45.03 while winning the 300M run. She later placed 2nd in the high jump (4’7”) and ran a strong leg of the 4X200M.
Also winning events for Nauset were sophomores Neilly Rose (55MH-10.30), Tara Ellard (mile-6:11) and Madaket Nobili (2 mile-12:53). Those three joined with sophomore Alena O’Connor to win the 4X400M in a state-qualifying time of 4:33.19.
Sophomore Caroline Sullivan was second in long jump (13’0”) and freshman Riley Frye placed third in the shot (22’0”)
Just missing placements in the 55M dash were junior Ellie Hartman and sophomore Sabrina Fogarty. Their times of 8.09 and 8.10 place them 6th and 7th in the entire league.
Nauset’s next meet will be against Falmouth.
