2.7 Mile course at Sandwich HS

The Nauset Boys XC team had a tough loss at Sandwich today. The 25 to 30 score was very close even though we were missing three of our top seven runners (Andrew Mckenzie out sick, Jake Avery injured, and Jeff Moynihan sprained his ankle during the race).

The boys who did run and finish ran very strong, bettering their mile splits and pulling for every place. Brian Brooks was just 2 seconds behind first place running 15:38. Following in 3rd was Ryan Gulianno (16:07), 7th Jordan Dash (16:31), 8th Koki Riley (16:32), 10th Andrew Grattan (17:20), 12th Luke Savini (17:59), 13th Tim Muse (18:15), 15th Noah Smith (19:38), 16th Keenan Pombo (NA), 23rd Jack Norgeot (NA).

Nauset Boys XC started their season by winning at home and dominating the whole way!  Freshman Brian Brooks led the team the entire race and set the 2.9mile course record with a time of 17:18. Right behind in the front pack placing 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th were Ryan Guiliano (18:13), Jordan Dash (19:08), Andrew Mckenzie (19:26), and Koki Riley (19:36).

Amazing team effort and impressive second group led by Jeff Moynihan, 10th, Andrew Grattan, 11th, Tim Muse, 12th, newcomer Luke Savini, 14th, freshman Keenan Pombo, 15th, Noah Smith, 16th, and Jack Norgeot, 17th.

Great job for a small team!
